C2C Group Supervision March 27, 2020
Time & Location
About the Event
Counselor 2 Counselor is a Peer Supervision group designed to gather together counselors and share cases in a warm and confidential setting. This idea developed as a way to help other mental health professionals who are isolated, not working with a group, who would love to be able to discuss or get input from other professionals regarding the day-to-day work with clients. This group will include food and drinks (non-alcoholic). We will have a format that will include time to mingle and eat prior to the case presentations.
DUE TO COVID-19 I HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE THE PEER SUPERVISION GROUPS FREE OF CHARGE. THEY WILL TAKE PLACE ONLINE ON MARCH 27, 2020 AND APRIL 24, 2020. I PLAN TO RESUME IN MAY IN PERSON AT THE GREENHOUSE LOCATION, HOWEVER, FOR THIS MONTH AND NEXT MONTH, WE WILL MEET ONLINE TO MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING.
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO REGISTERED AND BOUGHT A TICKET, YOU CAN EITHER GET A REFUND OR USE IT TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF FUTURE EVENTS.
ONCE YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE INVITATION ALONG WITH INFORMATION ON HOW TO JOIN.
LET'S CONTINUE TO BE SAFE, AND REMAIN CONNECTED DURING THIS UNPRECEDENTED TIME.
What is a peer supervision group?
Ever had a difficult client(s) that confounded you or made you feel stuck? Or ever had a situation or time when you wondered if there was another way you could have handled/processed/or worked with a client? Or do you ever feel isolated, alone, or in need of camaraderie with other professionals who just get it?
Well, Peer Supervision Group is designed to address the above referenced scenarios and more. In a nutshell, it is a group of mental health professionals (i.e., LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LCDCs, and Ph.D.s) gathered together to share cases, resources, and feedback with one another in order to address some difficulties or share successes that arise in our profession, all in a cozy, confidential, and compassionate setting!
What takes place at a peer supervision group?
Fun, laughter, food, decreased isolation, increased shared knowledge, referrals, CEUs (TX MHPs only), support, and encouragement. So if you desire to meet (in person or online) with fellow colleagues in a safe space to learn, share your own stories, increase competencies, get away for the evening, and build a great referral network, then join us! Our very first event will be a little different.
Sounds great! How do I participate?
Join us the last Friday of each month (except June and July and November and December) at 6:30 PM (light bites will begin at 6:15 PM). The address is 3880 Greenhouse Road, Suite 422, Houston, TX 77084. If you need to contact me for directions or other information, feel free to email me at Valerie@apexkaty.com. Please be aware that it is in a place that looks like apartment/townhomes, but it is actually an office park. I am located in the last building (building #4) on the left (after you enter the parking lot). Once you enter the first door, you will notice another door in front of you. That door leads to the stairs that you will ascend. Once you reach the top of the stairs, make a left and I am the first office on the right (or follow the smell of the food). Looking forward to having you join us!
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
You will have to drive to get there, and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot.
What can I bring into the event?
Bring your appetite and any business cards that you may like to share with group members.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
I can be reached via email at Valerie@apexkaty.com

Yes, we would ask that you bring your ticket or have it visible on your phone.
Can I update my registration information?

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes, it is transferable to future events and to other people. If you were unable to use or attend the original event.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
